BLACK GIRLS WHO PAINT (BGWP) is a resource and platform for Black women painters to share their art, find opportunities for meaningful exposure on and offline through storytelling, outreach, and networking. Our Directory and Awards Fund initiative are the first of it's kind where members can showcase their artwork, events, and available art on our platform while also supporting Black girls, teens, and students in their artistic pursuits. We serve our diverse community of over 100k followers across the internet globally. Our audience consistances of primarily women between the ages of 24-44 who are either artists or art enthusiasts who see the value in Black women painters showcasing their unique artwork/story and activiely pursuing their art practice while supporting the next generation of Black girl painters.
As such, BGWP welcomes partnerships and new opportunities with organizations interested in magnifying Black women artists to engage the community. Our main focus is to provide BGWP members with more direct support and align with organizations that are not only committed to increasing visibility for Black women artists, but long-term systemic change for racial and gender justice, as well as inclusivity within the arts community. Our goals are to see more Black women artists have sustainable art practices and be equipped with essential resources needed to navigate the art community. We're interested in working with other companies that have similiar intentions and values such as the following:
